    PhD Project

The micro process of organizational reactions to ambivalent institutional demands on the basis of the implementation process of CSR

Stephan’s research focuses on diverging institutional demands and the possible strategies for organizations to handle paradox situations from a neoinstitutional perspective. His dissertation analyses the implementation process of CSR in profit orientated enterprises. He investigates the whole implementation process from the interpretation of CSR, to the concept building and up to the output of the process. Stephan is especially interested in conflicts during the implementation process and how companies are dealing with such situations and how they integrate the CSR concept in the specific organizational context.
